The Good Bowl Charity Model
As part of our mission-driven business model, The Good Bowl donates $1 to charity for each signature bowl sold.
LOCAL: MORE THAN FOUR The More Than Four Foundation is a non-profit organization started by The Rigans, a local Traverse City family after their son Connor was diagnosed with brain tumor and recognizing that only 4% of The National Cancer Institute’s budget is directed to pediatric cancer. The nonprofit is dedicated to supporting children, families, doctors and researchers by collaborating with top-tier organizations to fund cutting-edge research initiatives for pediatric brain cancer. www.morethanfourfoundation.org | NATIONAL: CHILD MIND INSTITUTEAt the Child Mind Institute, the nonprofit advances children’s mental health through compassionate and uncompromising clinical care, a revolutionary approach to the science of the developing brain, and wide-reaching public education and community programs. Their goal is to empower families, educators, and others involved in the care and support of children who are struggling to understand the challenges these kids may be facing and make informed decisions about how to help them. www.childmind.org | GLOBAL: DIRECT RELIEFDirect Relief works in the US and internationally to expand access to medicine and healthcare by equipping doctors and nurses with lifesaving medical resources. Their goal is for all people — regardless of politics, religion, or ability to pay will receive critical medical care. Every day, Direct Relief prepares the most vulnerable communities worldwide for more frequent, more destructive emergencies. And when disasters strike, Direct Relief responds fast, effectively, and efficiently to get medical resources where they need to be to save lives. www.directrelief.org |
